Does Anyone Read This?

Sometimes I wonder who is reading my blog...if anyone? There's a stats feature here on blogger where I am able to see how many people have viewed my blog and what country they are from. The numbers say that my blog has had a total of 1933 views and readers from various countries have accessed my site. I wonder how these people stumbled across my page and if they actually READ what I write. So if you're reading this, please leave a comment. How did you find my blog? Do you read on a regular basis?  :)

Here's my week in review:

Thursday

On Thursday night Diego, Jessie, and I went to see a play at the Long Beach Playhouse.

They have this deal that on the Thursday before a play is supposed to open that you can go to the dress rehearsal for free. Well, you're supposed to give a donation, whatever you can afford.

We donated $10 for all three of us. What a deal! And it was a really good play! I had read about this play a couple months ago and was determined to go. It's based on a children's book that I remember reading when I was little.

Jessie wanted to get his picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Clauss. haha

So yeah, the play was really good! It was a small theater and we were right near the stage. I would definitely go back to see other plays. As I mentioned, the dress rehearsal price is donation. Then the Friday before opening night, the tickets are half off. The tickets are normally $25. A couple months ago the play was was "To Kill a Mockingbird" but we didn't go. :(  I'm not sure what other plays are coming up. Here's the website if you want to check it out.

Friday

I've been hooked on these holiday pies from McDonald's. I was really hoping they would have pumpkin pies, but I never saw them... :(

D and I decided to splurge on Friday night so we ordered pizza from Domino's. It was pretty yummy! :)

Saturday

On Saturday morning, D helped a guy move some things to make some extra money. Then we headed over to  his parents house. Berenice and her hubby have been looking to buy a house and they invited us over to see the one they are interested in.

The realtor was SUPER late so we were all standing around for over an hour waiting on this guy...It was quite rude!

The house was built in the early 1900's and there's even little nook specifically built for the telephone. Pretty cool!

Bathroom

 The house has a lot of character, but it also needs some work.

He showed me how to fry them up. You sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar and viola!

Chiles rellenos...peppers stuffed with cheese ( and sometimes meat like chicken) and then roll them in an egg/flour mixture ( i think) and cook....yuuum!

D and I walked to the library close to his fam's house. He wanted to check out some books on patents...

Larry bought a Christmas tree for the house...That's jessie with a knife getting ready to cute the ropes...creepy pic! haha

We rearranged the room in order to put the tree up. D and I switched the desk and cleaned up that area...That corner now looks so much better!!!

The guys were watching some boxing match....Later on, D and jessie and leonard joined them...so it was a full house.

The tree...ready to be decorated! It smelled so good! I haven't seen a real Christmas tree in a good 20 years! haha We usually use a fake one...

Sunday

D and I went to church over in Whittier. Afterwards we went to Kohls, the 99 cent store, and stopped by Boston Market before heading over to D's fam's house.

Christmas Q&A

I ran across this Q&A over at It's a Crafty Life and couldn't resist! It's been awhile since I've filled one of these out! How fun! :)



1. egg nog or hot chocolate? Definitely hot chocolate. I really like white chocolate or peppermint hot chocolate. Yuum!

2. Does santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Wrapped of course! What's the fun if they're not wrapped? :P

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Oh, that's a tough one! I think the white ones are more dressy/classy looking, especially when decorating outside. I also think that colored lights are pretty though. I guess it just depends on the look that you're going for. I've been using white lights on my tree the past few years because I have a classy red/gold theme.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope, but I remember my grandma had some hanging up when I was younger...

5. When do you put your decorations up? Never before Thanksgiving. At my parents house, we usually decorate a weekend or two after Thanksgiving. D and I usually wait until a  week or two before Christmas to put ours up. I don't really plan it that way, it just happens.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? hmm...turkey w/ homemade gravy and scalloped potatoes!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child? Too many to  name! I have so many good memories of gathering with all my extended family. Opening gifts, eating lots of yummy food, laughing, and having fun!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I really don't remember...the whole Santa thing was fun, but I don't think I ever actually thought he was real. haha

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve? We were allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve. I think we were allowed to choose one present randomly when we were younger. But my parents started giving us a pair of new pajamas and slippers each Christmas Eve and so that's our annual Christmas Eve gift!

10. How do you decorate your christmas tree? I have this really pretty red/green/gold ribbon that I string around the tree. I hang gold, red, and green balls  and then also have these golden wood stars.

11. Snow! love it or dread it? I love the first snow! And I also love having snow for Christmas. Actually, I like it all the way up until christmas, but once December is past, I HATE the snow! Thankfully, I don't have to worry about it this year since we're in Cali.

12. Can you ice skate? I've never been ice skating...it looks like fun though!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Hmm, I've gotten a lot of really good gifts. I love opening a giant box filled with lots of different things like DVDs! That's pretty great! I also like personal/homemade gifts. Jennica made me a scrapbook a couple years ago that was really nice. And Diego made me a wood carving last year.

14. What's the most important thing about the holidays for you? Being with my friends and family!

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? My mom's sugar cookies, pudding dessert/marsha's pudding, pretzel salad, butter chews!!!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Christmas party @ my mom and dad's house on Christmas Eve with my extended fam! So much fun!

17. what tops your tree? A pretty gold star. 

18. which do you prefer: giving or receiving? I like both...love giving a good gift, but who doesn't like receiving a good one too? :-)

19. candy canes: yuck or yum? They're pretty good, but not my favorite...

20. Favorite christmas show? White Christmas!! My very fave! 

21. Saddest christmas song? I can't really think of one at the moment...

22. What is your favorite christmas song? Hmm that's a tough one. I like quite a few. Elvis- Blue Christmas. White Christmas. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. The list goes on and on...haha

It's Wednesday already?

Oh, how the days fly by....Only 3 1/2 weeks until Mom,Dad, and Jennica get here!!!I'm counting down!!! yay!:D I haven't seen M&D in over four months and it's been over three months since I've seen Jennica.

D and I were awakened early in the morning by the sounds of chainsaw and barking dogs outside our window.  Crazy neighbors!I was so ticked off. It's very inconsiderate to be trimming your tree with a loud chainsaw at 7 in the morning. Grrr.... It was not a good start to the morning. And I hadn't been sleeping well anyways! D and I stayed up late watching the news and I didn't get to bed until 2 am! haha The Occupy LA encampment which was @ city hall was forced to vacate the park. The process included a good thousand or so police officers. They surrounded the park and used the tunnels to come out through the actual building of city hall. There were hundreds of protesters, but  everything stayed pretty peaceful.

I was in a cleaning mood last night and did some in depth cleaning in the kitchen! The counters were looking pretty sparkly! Yay! Now I just need to get the rest of the apartment whipped into shape. Everything is just so cluttered. I need more space!!!

I spent most of the morning paying bills and working on paperwork for work. I had a work meeting @ 3 and didn't leave the office until 5. Found out that they're going to start training me in home sessions so I'm pretty excited about that! It will be an extra four hours a week and with my same client. I start my training tomorrow! yay!

My new schedule will be:

Tuesday:   8:00 am to 1:00 pm School Session
                3:00 pm to 5:00 pm  Home Session
Thursday:  9:10 am to 2:10 pm  School Session
                3:30 pm to 5:30 pm Home Session
Friday:     9:00 am  to 2:00 pm  School Session

So yeah, that's good news! :)

It's Tuesday....

I'm sitting here watching "Wife Swap"...love this show! After six free days, I was schedule to work today.  I was happy to go make some money. The day went by pretty quickly, which I am thankful for! My client was in a really good and cooperative mood. I had brought him a squishy tomato toy and he LOVED it! During his breaks he would ask for 'tomato'....Halfway through the day, he somehow tore it and the water poured out on the water and all over him. Poor guy, I think it scared him a bit! haha He loved his tomato so much :(

Anyways, I think i'm getting a cold. Yesterday morning I woke up with a scratchy throat and now it's just plain sore. My nose feels weird and my ears are all plugged up. Bleh. So I've been drinking lots of OJ and taking NyQuil. Hopefully that will help!


I guess I really don't have a whole lot to say today, but just thought I would check in. I'll go ahead and share some photos that I took a couple weeks ago and never posted:
